Bal-A-Vis-X is a series of Balance/ Auditory/ Vision eXercises, of varied complexity, all of which are rooted in rhythm. These exercises require full-body coordination and focused attention. The program utilises sand-filled bags, raquet balls, and balance boards. It demands coorperation, promotes self-challenge, and fosters peer teaching. It is school friendly and just plain fun. In distilled essence, Bal-A-Vis-X enables the whole mind-body system to experience the natural symmetrical flow of a pendulum.

Bal-A-Vis-X is for every student. It is effective for students who are labeled:

  • Learning Disabled - Cognitive integration improves
  • Behaviourally Disordered - Behaviour "settles"
  • ADD/ADHD - Impulsivity decreases and attention span increases
  • Gifted - Physical coordination improves and stress headaches diminish
  • Regular - Academic success improves yet requires less effort

Bal-A-Vis-X benefits students whose auditory skills are inadequate for academic success. Such students "hear" but do not attend to the precise details of:

  • pronunciation

  • verbal instruction

  • discussion

For these students, the rhythmic patterns of Bal-A-Vis-X create a new awareness of the nuances of sound.

Bal-A-Vis-X is for students whose visual acuity may be 20/20, yet whose vision remains deficient in

  • ocular motility (tracking)

  • binocularity (teaming)

  • visual form perception (discrimination of details)

For all students the gains in eye-hand coordination and subsequent growth in overall confidence, hence, self-esteem, are readily observable.


LEVEL 1: Foundation Exercises

(9 hours / usually formatted in 1.5 days)

Active participation learning fundamental Bal-A-Vis-X principles, rhythms, patterns, procedures, and the first 125 exercises.

LEVEL 2: Intermediate Exercises

(6 hours / must be taken as an extension of Level 1)

Multiple variations of Level 1 exercises plus 50 of the more demanding exercises.

LEVEL 3: Advanced Exercises

(6 hours / taken as an extension session)

Devoted exclusively to Bal-A-Vis-X’s most demanding exercises, to include multiple intricate variations of many Level 1/Level 2 exercises.

Multiple modifications of Level 1/Level 2 patterns, procedures, and exercises for the Very Young, Seniors, Developmentally Delayed, Severe Special Needs.

Scheduling Options for Training (Hadi & Sumi)

1) Minimum Session: Level 1 + Level 2 + Adaptive = 17 hours

Sumi  and Hadi Chua are the only trainers sanctioned by founder Bill Hubert to provide BAVX training in South-East Asia/ Australia/ New Zealand.
